About Me

Jo Sabel | Sabel PR

I’ve been in the world of public relations, promotions and events for over 20 years, and have had the distinct pleasure of working with some of the most inspiring, motivating clients imaginable. I served as international marketing and public relations manager for  the destination resort town of Stowe,  Vermont, and then on my own for a wide range of organizations, specializing in, but not limited, to travel and tourism and the performing arts. My scope of work and life experiences include jazz musician promotion and management, radio disc jockey (jazz and rock-jock!), catering and restaurant management, actor and singer. These pursuits have taken me from my home state of Indiana to theatrical study in New York City to ranch work in Colorado. I’ve also worked and lived in Boston, Chicago, the Virgin Islands, and Newport, Rhode Island.  Yes, I would say that life experiences truly inform my work!   Community service and involvement is vitally important to me.Throughout the years I’ve happily served on many boards and committees to contribute to the strength of my community, and  have recently been appointed to the Vermont Arts Council Board of Trustees.  I was co-founder of both the cancer-survivor event, Stowe Weekend of Hope, and the Stowe Theatre Guild, and served on the Stowe Free Library Board for nine years. I love what I do.  It’s incredibly rewarding to help my clients benefit from the hard work they’ve put into their products and companies, and I deeply value the relationships we have developed together. Good public relations are all about good relationships. To be effective at what I do, I work hard to maintain strong communication  with my clients and media contacts so that, together, we can make authentic and lasting connections with your potential clients and customers.
